Laura Tijan with A.L.L. Dog Training and Elizabeth Reeves with Agility for Kicks have combined forces to bring a new and exciting way to spend time with your dog! They have created group field trips that they call Training-on-the Go! After speaking with some clients it was brought to Laura and Elizabeth's attention that many people are nervous when going to public places with their pets. People worry that they will not know how to respond if there dog has a problem nor are they sure what appropriate behavior is during certain activities.
Training-on-the Go gives clients the opportunity to try a fun and new activity with their companion in a safe and comfortable atmosphere. Both Laura and Elizabeth are present for all activities to ensure that each client receives plenty of help and support for any behavioral issues that may arise. Laura and Elizabeth plan a lesson into each activity in order to help the client and companion understand how they should be using their obedience commands. The activities range from day hikes to lunch at local restaurants and always a bit of doggy playtime!

"Lola, my exuberant 6 month old Dobie, & I participated in a “Training-on-the-Go” session. What a great experience for both of us! We all (a small group of people & dogs) met Laura & Liz at a high school. Then we walked to a nearby TGI Friday’s restaurant for lunch. By the time we reached the restaurant the dogs were calm & responding well to commands – even my Lola. We ate on an outside patio area with the dogs resting on mats calmly by our sides. The waiter & several customers commented on what a great site it was to see all of the different dogs (different breeds, sizes, etc.) together and behaving so well. It is something I could not have imagined doing with any of my dogs until I started A.L.L. Dog Training. After we ate and the dogs were given water, we walked back to the high school where it was play time (on long leashes) for the dogs. During the play session, I learned more from Laura on controlling my excited puppy’s behavior. In fact I learned as much throughout the “Training-on-the-Go” as my puppy did and we were able to work toward my goal of “taking Lola everywhere with me.” ~ Paula Ewing, Elk Grove, CA
